Why did the refrigerator break down?

Your refrigerator might be going haywire for several different reasons. Also, there are usually a multitude of issues that comes along with each problem. That is to say, when you have one problem, you most likely have several. For instance, your condenser coils could be clogged or the defrost timer could be off. The compressor or the relay could be defective. And the temperature control or frost heater or might be damaged. Or, the door switch or seals could be flawed.

The issue can be fixed by either restoring the damaged part or putting in a whole new part if it is beyond restoration. However, before you are able to repair anything, you must go through the process of troubleshooting and diagnosing the issue and remember this process may vary from brand to brand every brand.

Major do-it-yourself repairs are highly dissuaded because they are not economical contrary to popular belief. The diagnostics and restoration gear is expensive and only intended to be utilized by licensed professionals. And, if you attempt to fix your refrigerator by ‘trial and error’ you could possibly end up creating further damage which will ultimately end up costing you more money. Also, those damages may not be covered in your warranty and you could end up voiding your warranty, if there is one, all together.

This is why at Adam’s Appliance Repair in Buckeye, we would like for you to call on us to come assist you with any refrigerator repair needs you may have. It is best to call the best!

Diagnosing and fixing common refrigerator problems

Strange refrigerator noises

When you are hearing any disturbing noises inside of your refrigerator, it could be a defective ice maker or evaporator fan. If you open the door to the refrigerator door and hear the noise, it is most likely the condenser or evaporator. There could possibly be objects stuck in their blades, which would block rotation by rubbing against them. If that is the case, the evaporator fan could be replaced. However, if you don’t have the issue looked at quickly, there could be even more damage caused which means more money once again.

Refrigerator not sufficiently cool

If your refrigerator isn’t cooling to the temperature you are used to, this usually has to do with the condenser coils. Frequently trash will build up lowering the cooling levels. This will require an extensive cleaning. If, after it has been cleaned really well, the temperature doesn’t return to your satisfaction, then it is time to call in the pros at Adam’s Appliance Repair.

In reference to the relay or the capacitor, (which sends power to the condenser), it might have become defective and this would have to be replaced.

Leaking Refrigerator

If you look on the floor and see that your refrigerator is leaking water, it is most likely the tank, water filter, or the inlet valve to blame. Unfortunately, the assembly of your water tank cannot be fixed and would have to be replaced. When the filter is leaking water, it has not been installed correctly and that is an easy fix. Just reinstall the same filter and make sure it is done correctly by using your owner’s manual.

In the event the refrigerator defrost pan or its water inlet valve is damaged, then they will have to be restored.
